Tomorrow, I head off to NY for
—->the first time.
Yes, I know I’ve lived in Boston for oodles of time and still haven’t gone.
I have to say, I always wondered the same thing myself: when would I traipse over there?
Wish me luck and stand with me. It’s a packed weekend that I have ahead of me. It would be nice to look forward to the time when my head will stop spinning from envisioning all the different types of “me-s” being 1) my own best advocate, 2) an inquisitive interviewee, 3) a sociable human being, 4) An aspiring “expert” on any variety of research (anything from gynecology to pediatric nutrition and genetics, and, 5) an adventurous lass with her head held high, whether or not I end up sinking my heels into a bank of snow or tripping over some mischievous piece of trash by the way when dashing between seven, 30 minute, back-to-back interviews (5 minute breaks!).
Someone did say that New York moved faster than the rest of the country…
I’ll be staying at what looks like a pretty nice place, and
I’ll be eating at some well-rated and interesting restaurants,
* Citrus Latin and Sushi fusion
* Kangsuh Korean Japanese
and able to see the “Best of New York,” any one of these
A. Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum
1071 Fifth Avenue (at 88th Street)
B. Metropolitan Museum of Art
1000 Fifth Avenue (at 82nd Street)
C. American Museum of Natural History
Central Park West at 79th Street (Central Park West entrance)
D. Museum of Modern Art
11 West 53rd Street (btwn. 5th and 6th Avenues)
and, maybe catch a laugh or two,
It will all be an adventure!
I’ll let you know how the food was. 🙂
