The afternoon makes shadow art on my walls

I look,

then briefly

so fleetly

light hides behind something

I cannot see,

it dances past

and on the wall-

can it be?

what’s on the table

now on the wall,

framed so fitly!

what's that I see? — What - What's that I see?

Half the image, fading... — the image, fading, fleetly floating...an impression at best.

light's mischief fading — playful afternoon light's mischief, fading
