More than usual, France is on my mind. I haven’t commented on the news or social matters on this blog – I like to keep it light-hearted and inspirational. I don’t intend to start now with blending the news – which is almost always a big downer (to say the least), but I would first like to express that France is on my mind and I’m joining in prayer for all those affected by the events this week.
I’ve been reading a great book French Kids Eat Everything by Karen Le Billon, which I can actually classify as reading for both work and pleasure. I’ve definitely come to appreciate the elucidation of different perspectives towards the role of food in French and North American cultures. It’s very interesting, and I definitely recommend this book for any new moms, educators, and francophiles :-). I noticed there was a crumb in the picture after I shot it, but I thought it humorous to let it, ahem, underline “snacking” in the title. Those insidious crumbs…from somewhere. 😉
I have also been adding works to our home gallery, including this recent ink and charcoal of A Stroll in Paris.
Isn’t it so fun?
Have a terrific Thursday in the first week of 2015, everyone!

I love your charcoal stroll drawing. Is there a way for me to buy a copy from you?
@afastpacedlife I am thrilled that you love the drawing! And YES there is a way for you to buy a copy from me. I am working on the listing on my Etsy shop inspiréebys. Once it is up, you can send me an email at inspireebys@gmail.com and you can let me know which size and color. Awesome!
