I’m fairly picky about the kinds of makeup I wear, if any (most days, a few quick touches under 1.5 minute do the trick). Bite Beauty has quickly become one of my favorites because of the formulation, design, and ingredients which are food-grade organic but look and smell lovely. See how to recreate this natural spring-forward look, featuring the Bite Beauty Lip Pencil and Amuse Bouche lipsticks.
I’ve tried Bite Beauty‘s Multistick, Lip Crayon, and now the new Lip Pencil. Influenster sent me a light Lip Pencil in 020 that goes with the Amuse Bouche (tiny cute lipsticks, like an amuse bouche at a restaurant : ) ) in Honeycomb and then a dark Lip Pencil in 044 to go with the Amuse Bouche in Whiskey, complimentary to review these new products. I’ve particularly had fun layering colors and products because they’re all light and a nice formulation, allowing me to achieve color and coverage without applying a lot of product.

These formulations allow for perfect coverage – while I might have been a bit dubious applying a light lipstick (I have tried some that just DON’T look good on naturally darker lips) in the past, these work great and allow me to achieve a lighter color that I want for a spring-forward look. Let’s take a short break and show you what the darker set looks like.
This look was created for an evening networking event, using the Bite Beauty Lip Pencil in 044 and the Whiskey Amuse Bouche lipstick. I topped it with one of my favorites, Ilia’s lip conditioner in Arabian Knights (now available at Sephora) to add a warmer red top layer.
To create this spring-forward look……
Step 1: Make sure your lips are exfoliated and you may add a light layer of balm and let that set and absorb
Step 2: Line the outside of your lips in the Lip Pencil in 020.
Step 3: Fill in your lips with the Lip Pencil in 020, using broad strokes along the height of your upper and lower lips.
Step 4: Apply the Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Honeycomb
Step 5: Apply Fitglow’s Good Gloss in Glitz for a little subtle, pretty sparkle – safe sparkle – that tastes good too.
The rest: I used Ilia Beauty Mascara (I go really lightly on mascara, mainly to add a little hold on shape and not risk getting any product in my sensitive eyes). I also used the Bite Beauty Multistick (which I reviewed here) in Macaroon on cheeks, RMS Beauty Living Luminizer as a highlighter (can’t live without – natural pretty glow), W3LL People Narcissist Foundation stick (I can’t live without this – it is available now at Target and Anthropologie, in addition to my favorite organic beauty boutiques like Follain) and Benefit Gimme Brow on brows.

I’ve heard good things about Bite Beauty before but I had not read an in-depth review like this yet!
I had a quick look at the ingredients for the Amuse Bouche Lipstick – I’m quite impressed! They’re more natural than a lot of lipsticks – for example they don’t contain lanolin oil (made from sheep glands)!
The Whiskey colour looks gorgeous on you – I think I’ll go for a neutral like the Honeycomb shade you recommend here.
