First of all, I want to take the chance to encourage you that it is more than OK just to dress for YOU, and not because you see the next must-have item that everyone has. I’ll keep this simple and sweet, because 1) few people have infinite funds to shop with and also 2) you may be already overwhelmed with a barrage of photos of cute finds from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (a biannual sale where you can save quite a bit on full-price items for the *upcoming season*). If you’re here for the styles, dive in and enjoy! For the comfy chic styled gal, the pre-fall sale is my favorite. I grabbed a few pieces last year that I wore constantly. About the Nordstrom Credit Card, which gives me early access: I haven’t signed up for any retail credit cards except for this one, which has already proved to pay off as some of the perks, like Early Access (July 13-20) to items that go on the Anniversary Sale (July 21-August 6). Log on August 7, and the same items will be back to full price – bummer, but now you know and can use this perk to your advantage! You also get a triple points day (purchases count towards points) and points help get you to a tier with more benefits, like additional triple points days or a greater alterations credit. I save up my holiday shopping for my triple points day, and add things to my wish list so I can add to cart quickly when it is my triple points day. The main benefit I’ve used is alterations – for the weddings I’ve gone to, I had one dress with delicate fabrics hemmed for $60 using my Nordstrom Notes, which essentially was free since they’re the currency you accumulate when you get points from previous shopping occasions.
