The bite and sting of the cold winds in Beantown aren’t reaching my kitchen this season : a new “toy” has made it easier to make some yummy treats. The gentle whirring has served as a nice background for our home the last few days. 🙂
Still jet-lagged from our west coast trip, my intent to make these for breakfast was unsuccessful as I ended up waking up at noon. A friend and fellow blogger has a recipe and some suggestions for baking cinnamon rolls and baking with yeast on her mommy blog that were helpful. Instead, these made it out in time for afternoon pastry and coffee time and game time (do any of you play Bang? )with friends who live a block away. Food is sweeter when shared with a happy group of friends, really embodying the true spirit of the season.
What are you all making for gatherings with friends and family? Any new favorites? Please share!
I hope that you all are staying warm if you are in the snowy parts of the world, or else, keeping the holiday spirit alive as dreary days get brighter and brighter.
Here are a few snapshots of the process and finished product:
Have a great weekend, everyone!
