Fall/Winter 2017 Style Trends for the Chic

Happy Weekend!

I have been making some mental notes of the best NOW trends of the season, and I made some notes to share with you as you plan those party outfits!

Trends to keep in mind for fall/winter:

Floral

on leather, on kimonos, on winter structured skirts, on blazers and toppers. Keeping this trend alive from spring-summer all the way through the winter months  – ladies, I think it will do us good to keep some liveliness in our style 🙂

Velvet

luxurious, jewel-toned, luxe fabrics and textures in blouses, dresses, booties.

Cozy, soft textures

in vests, lined jackets, faux-fur jackets in bold colors, wrap-around scarves, sweaters with delicate details.

Statement earrings.

Volume in skirts!

Colors

marsala, blues, deep emerald greens, golds, bronze

Necklaces

layered, y-shape lariats. mixed media elements.

Dramatic sleeves

bell sleeves, tied bell sleeves (on sweaters)

Here are some of my favorite new picks from Anthropologie.

Dress me up:

Moulinette Soeurs Pleated Metallic Wrap Dress • $158

Anthropologie Halter Laced Jumpsuit • Anthropologie • $178
While volume in skirts, and shimmer are all perfect for holiday dressing, an unexpected favorite are jumpsuits in thicker fabrics with a beautiful silhouette. A deep red lace and halter neckline with wide legs look excellent if you’re looking to mix it up!

Donna Morgan Velvet Off-The-Shoulder Pleated Dress • Donna Morgan • $238

Greylin Pleated Strapless Jumpsuit • Greylin • $168

Delfi Bella Top • $276

Vivienne Tam Shimmer Asymmetrical Midi Skirt • Vivienne Tam • $228

Get cozy

Moth Chenille Cardigan • $128

Floreat Silk Sleep Pants • $118 (top shown below)

Gifted

They’re currently having a 20% off home sale (including their Voluspa candles – my fav scents for the season are Baltic Amber, Gilt Pomander and Honaki, Mokara, and French Cade Lavender. All holiday home items…hostess gifts…those are included!

Limited Edition Voluspa Cut Glass Jar Candle • Voluspa • $28

Voluspa Japonica Embossed Votive Gift Set • Voluspa • $40

These beautiful agate spoons aren’t yet online, but they’re now updating my tea bar at home! Yes, I have a tea bar. And a tea cabinet. It is the BlueBootsGo way 🙂

Pretty Things

Serefina Railroad Drop Earrings • $38

Anthropologie Deco Hair Clip Set • Anthropologie • $38

Zenzii Dusk Blossom Drop Earrings • $48

Anthropologie Alina Sparkle Bib Necklace • Anthropologie • $29.95

Anthropologie Circular Tote Bag • Anthropologie • $88

Totally in love with this bag – Black leather with red lining is a personal favorite of mine, but this round shape is just so chic and unexpected. The inside has a zipper, it is structural, and comes with a little round clutch as well that mirrors the shape and style of the bag.

What are you looking forward to most for style now that the cold has BRRRRR fully hit??

TIP:Anthropologie has some fun planned for Black Friday – in years past, they’ve had in-store gift card giveaways and treats.

I have some AWESOME things coming this month for Where the BlueBoots Go readers and followers – I can’t wait to share them – some will be for those of you local to Boston, and some will be for everyone!

Stay warm, stay chic –
