This dish is a family favorite to order at Chinese restaurants. Often, you can opt to order it with beef as well which I like.
This was my first attempt at making it at home and other than it being surprisingly quite a deal spicier than I can handle (see the amount of chili red pepper flakes below) it was pretty good. It was more labor intensive than I expected; that must be because I am a Chinese chef-in-training. Well, to be exact, I just feel my way through how I think dishes I’ve tried ought to taste, and cook accordingly.
