I woke to the rhythmic beat of rain landing on my window and infinite greyness today. Yesterday was beautiful and sunny, for this time of year at least, but today, a reminder of what most days in springtime bring: rain, rain, and rain.
I haven’t yet posted on the unique experience as an adult of a blizzard: citywide snow emergency shut down, simply walking around for two days, marveling at the transformation that a blanket of white can do for commonplace sights, and fun. So with such a gloomy backdrop outside today, I’m remembering the fun of the blizzard in photos from my armchair with a cheery candle lit and a -now cold- cup of coffee (writing…coffee…gotta make some hard choices sometimes 🙂 .)

We climbed on top of the snow banks that were as tall as the first story of the apartment building next door. BlueBoots helped build an igloo in a friend’s backyard. We pretended the snow was sand on a beach and buried each other. And, of course, we made snow angels too!
