Happy Friday!
For all of you who may be planning a wedding, I hope these photos give you some inspiration!
A lovely couple commissioned me to custom design their place cards and menu for their vintage elegant wedding at the Bradley Estate in Canton, MA for an intimate Boston-area wedding attended by a few close friends and a lot of family, many of whom traveled from as far away as Taiwan to be here.
The bride had very few criteria to fit her vision of her minimalist wedding: elegant, vintage, pink, cream, simple. She also had few added elements to convey her style – this meant that each detail had to be just right!
I decided to do a watercolor and modern calligraphy for each place card.
I played with color combinations until I found one that was perfect.
With complete design license, which made this project fun, I arranged the cards in a heart shape by Table number.
Instead of printing individual menus, I turned a vintage mirrored vanity tray into a menu which added simple elegance to the décor.
The wedding itself was touching, and full of sweet personality. The program included their story, and a few anecdotes from family and friends which helped guests to get to know the other in the couple that they knew less well.
A few other design elements. Pink satin napkins adorned each table setting, of course.
I loved it when they found things funny :).
What a sunset!
They loved the decor and were very happy.
With the menu, comes the food!
Outfit change to a gorgeous new Chinese dress.
Congrats Michael and Ariel Cobb! Thanks for having me be a part of your special day!
