Eat Boutique – last weekend! {Boston}

Boston folks, have you heard of Eat Boutique? This is a Public Service Announcement. Head on over! In this season of spreading cheer and delicious food and holiday markets, if you haven’t stopped by yet, this is your last weekend to get over to the annual pop-up! Creator Maggie Battista, who is also the author of Food, Gift, Love was inspired by the Nordic Christmas Markets and out from avid pinning on Pinterest and a great love for food, gifting, and bringing people together, voilà, Eat Boutique was born.

    I went on December 5, and got a chance to chat with Ms. Joy Wilson, author of Homemade Decadence and the creator of the Joy the Baker blog. She also signed and personalized the book for my friend which was so nice of her.

She teamed up with Union Square Donuts (yum!) to create pretzel donut holes, covered in dark chocolate and peppermint.
    I purchased the cookbook for my friend as a gift, and received an awesome surprise of unbreakable wine glasses (Govino), this amazing (I think this is the best flavored popcorn I’ve ever tasted) popcorn that was sweet and smoky (I think this may be one of Maggie’s amazing recipes!), and this airtight jar from Le Parfait which is currently housing gourmet Marshmallows from Sweet Lydia in Cambridge that I purchased at the SOWA Holiday Market in coconut, raspberry, vanilla, and mocha.
  I have read some of Joy’s blog, and happily, but until I got to the Eat Boutique, I hadn’t sat down to page through her cookbook. I LOVE it. I wish I had gotten one for myself, because her sweets are sure home runs. I have quite a list of recipes from this book I’d like to try, and I’ve already tried the overnight pancakes!   These candles quickly went on my “to buy” list. They smell perfect for spring. Yes, I am already thinking of spring – perhaps because of the rainy semi-warm weather in December we have been having…uh oh.
  There’s Joy on the far right! She was so fun to meet and chat with. I love her blog post series called “let it be!” They’re a space to relax in, as if you’re having a nice chat with her. Here’s one of the latest ones. As it turns out after our chat, these are her favorite posts, which made me happy! She also loves sparkle, and I was tickled that she loved my sparkly shoes as much as I did :-).

  I came across the Loyal Supply Co. pop up here, which had Simply Curated travel candles – I have several around the house, my current fave is Vanilla Lavender. It’s so fun to see a friend’s business succeeding, woohoo! This Be Merry and Bright card is cute too!   This arrangement really embodies the nordic market feel, doesn’t it?
  This peach pepper jelly from Bonnie’s Jams made some delicious chicken over rice one night too. Mmmmm.

Black Magic Coffee, food trucks, Tatte, jams, jewelry, candles, trays, cookbooks, supplies for wrapping and prettying, and more treats await you for any of your last minute holiday shopping!

If you can’t make it, or aren’t local, still check out their website at eatboutique.com – beautiful recipes and pictures will tantalize you and inspire you to make things, and maybe even gift them :).

Enjoy – and if you go, let me know what you thought!!
