An undercurrent of stress is an UNDERcurrent.
John 12:27
Now is My soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save Me out of this hour. But for this reason I have come to this hour.
What is “this reason”? Although Jesus was troubled, humanly, and in his soul, by the death which He was about to suffer, in His spirit, He realized that it was for the glorification of His Father.
I like this footnote: To glorify the name of the Father is to cause the Father’s divine element to be expressed.
When we’re clear lanterns, the light within can shine out and we and others can know that it is true light.
Ephesians 1:19-22
And what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the operation of the might of His strength which He caused to operate in Christ in raising Him from the dead and seating Him at His right hand in the heavenlies, far above all rule and authority and power and lordship and every name that is named not only in this age but also in that which is to come; and He subjected all things under His feet and gave Him to be Head over all things to the church, which is His Body, the fullness of the One who fills all in all.
Everything is UNDER our feet. Stressful situations allow God to manifest His wisdom in working out His glory through us.
